I think those are beads that you flatten and close on your hair and sew the wefts to them those beads are used to add individual bundle hair to the head if you don’t want it sewn in it takes much longer to do it that way but I personally things it looks much better the individual way because the individuals move like hair is supposed too wefts sometimes moves all at once and not like hair is supposed to move and they are so much easier to hide because it’s just that little bead to cover not an entire weft it’s pretty cool look it up on YouTube sometimes
Not if you use heat protection when straightening your hair and not straightening it often as well and making sure you use products that build and protect your hair.
Its not a rubber band I’m not sure what its called but I first saw it n Chicago when I needed a track fixed an I had a sew in its a small clamp that clamps on to your hair very sturdy an they use something to squeeze it down wit ..
Para, I can only speak from experience. I work in an upscale salon, and honestly, predominantly white women get this attachment. Only a small percentage of blacks get it done. No matter who it is, they lose an abnormal amount of hair because the release of the lock doesn’t release fully on the first try. That bead doesn’t just Glide smoothly from the hair because over the time it’s been in your hair, loose pieces of hair get tangled in the bead. So upon removal, no matter what, the bead gets stuck a lot of times and the stylist removing it isn’t going to tell the client what’s happening.
This method of installation has its risk just as anything else, I’m just saying, this method is definitely not a safe guard.
I’ve worn this style and my hair went from being in my back to right at my neck. You would think my stylist would have said something, once she noticed the breakage after several installations. Let’s just say I have a new stylist and my hair has grown back with in a year.
I honestly don’t think it’s any less or more damaging than anything else you sew glue or tape in your head just take care of it obviously don’t leave them in too long like anything else don’t sew too heavy a track onto them because they were made for a few individual pieces of hair to hold at a time not a whole weft but I think it looks very nice and it looks very natural
Just like a sew in when you remove it your hair is a little tangled due to the braid down. Its a little tangled at the root. I agree with you it cause the same if not more damage in my experience and hurts like he’ll to cb out unless you douce your head with oil
Ive had it installed many times before. It lets you achieve a flater natural ponytail and blends perfectly with your own hair if done right. The removal is easy the comb out is the torture.
Y’all saying its damaging I just don’t see how. you clamp them in and unclamp them to take them out. unless crazy you or your stylist didn’t open them enough to take them out yes you’re going to rip your hair out. you have to open them enough or it will be the equivalent of you just ripping out glued wefts to your hair. there is always proper and safe ways to do things and stylist (cheap stylist) often don’t do those proper and safe ways. then you mad at the procedure instead of the stylist. Just do things the right ways and you shouldn’t have problems but people want to cut so many corners and blame everything else instead of what exactly did you or not do.
If the individuals hair is out in the style and they don’t know how to correctly style their hair and use things like heat protection or products to help build their hair and help it not become brittle and damaged then this style would be damaging (judging by the way it looks if the person hair is out or mixed in w the weave since its not braided )
But from not using heat protection and basically doing nothing to hair but manipulate it in any sort of way or fashion it’s automatically going to become damaged and break off it can’t be blamed on the way added in extra hair even if it’s under a wig or weave 24/7 if you don’t care for your hair underneath then yeah your hair may be longer when you take it down but it will be so brittle thin and weak it just has to be cut off
It’s more damaging because when new growth arrives it’s not protected like it is in braids. It will be more prone to tangling and knotting around the beads, thread, ect which leads to breakage. Everyone’s hair is different.
If you go to the maintenance appointments the stylist sets it shouldn’t be anymore damaging than any other added hair method everyone’s hair is different but if you take care of your own hair the way it needs to be taken care of none of this should be a problem with a sew in I had no problems with taped extensions no problem these micro links no problem I only put a few in my head but still no problem with micro braids no problem you just have to take care of it all and people don’t do that and think the extension method is the problem and it’s not always the case
Those medal clamps do not cause a lot if damage if you remove them the correct way. Alot of Caucasian women use clamps and it’s easier on the hair than braiding.
Also they tend to look more natural…. you wouldn’t believe it but there are more Caucasian women wear extensions more than black women they just are always put on blast for it but I digress….. I’ve seen some get sew ins and yall right there is no point it slips right out us less you u use some heavy products to make the hair have some grip or texture to it.
Look like a waste of time .. This seem like it would take longer than braiding your hair 2. Your hair can benefit more from having it braided than this method 3. Looks like a easier way for heat damage being that alot of people flat iron their weave more when its in a bob or just flat iron their weave alot and your hair is out so you will also flat iron that too …
Not true cause when guys start growing their hair they put black rubber bands lil puffs in in a month or two they shit be long enough to braid I actually did this to the back of my hair 2 months ago n braided the top cause the back is short then put a net over n sew a weave in it’s still in its almost 3 months I’m taking it out soon n do over for xmas n New Years
Yeah I don’t get it either. I thought oh maybe you can part it in a bunch of different ways. Then I realized the track won’t allow you to so its kind of pointless.
it is’nt rubber bands..it is called beads.. the good paret of it is..when you have hairgrowth you just open the beads and slide it to the top back..and in the other case..with the braid..you have to loosen it and braid than sew it completly again.. so for the retouch..beads take abouit 15-20 min..and with the braid over an hour.
I noticed the hair lays flatter with this method and for those who already have long or thick hair it’s not as heavy feeling with your hair partially free. Less irritation as well that you can get from the braids being too tight.
This is an old technique that my former stylist used on my sew ins. It doesnt take the same amount of time as braiding and they are metal clamps not rubber bands. It doesnt damage your hair at all and it lasts.
I like the link method because my hair lays flatter BUT the links tend to slip out (although my stylist was able to find some that wouldn’t slip out as much) and if you don’t take it out properly, it can pull your hair out. Overall, I prefer this method over traditional sew ins.
And U can use KERATIN GLUE BEADS tht are water soluble and conditions the hair strands and it last sooo long.and the take down is simply a hot patient wash and the hair U put in falls right off NO CUTTING NECESSARY…. #justathought
As a hairdresser for a long time I have done Infusion even when it wasn’t out here.. We had 20yrs All the Brazilian hair there is by LUGOS in NY City and Pretty Girl in Philly 26yrs ago.. All this hair ain’t nothing new to me… ALL THIS SELLING HAIR NOW AVAILABLE TO US BLACK WOMEN, WHITE WOMEN ALREADY HAD.. We even did this method here, It wasn’t ever Patterned… Shidah Bug this method depending on the person texture, it can easily loosen up or even slide out… DEPENDING ON THE HAIR TEXTURE.. PLUS IT CAN BE A BIT LUMPY TOO… Is not ment to be kept on the head as long as sewn weaves… Couple of Shampoos and is OVAAAA!… I will say is safe and way healthier than glued tracks in between… YOU ALSO HAVE TO HAVE A NICE AMOUNT OF HAIR ON YOUR EDGES AND MEDULLA…
Ummmmm Nikia MissPrettiful u kno I’m not most stylist so I try not to promote anything that breaks the hair. The rubberband thing is scary to me due to how tight I KNO they would have to be in order for the tracks to be secure. Boy I tell u Utube gone b the death of sum of y’all
I mean and half the people that come up wit this foolery are MEN who don’t care nothin about u having hair at the end of the stream. Do your research and stop being people’s test dummies ??????! #illPass??
I agree that it looks like it would cause more damage. Looking at the pic closer though, those are micro links not rubber bands. It’s like a tiny metal or plastic rectangle shaped piece that’s very flat clamped at the root of the lock of hair. They used these a lot when the feathers in girls hair were popular a couple years ago. However I had some of those feathers and when I caught my brush or comb on those things it hurt ! I’m not African American but seeing as my husband and children are I could not see this successfully working without damaging the hair. ?
Damn the “rubber bands” or “clips” or whatever they’re call…in my mind the point of weave especially in winter months when your hair dries more easily is for PROTECTION. This is NOT a protective style. Nor does it look less time consuming. Everytime u want to flat iron that weave your also putting heat on your own hair. So its gonna cont to break off. A braid sew-in IS a protective style b.c if done properly, your hair is up and safely out of the way so that the only thing thats getting heat and constant manipulation is the weave
– i dont have the stuff to do it . it looks like rubber bands on the pic but its not . those are metal clips . i cant think of the name … i think thats a malaysian sew in or something like that
I learned to do this on myself. Not with rubber bands but keratin dipped beads. I needed to go to a company party that weekend and I wanted a nice style. It really works in the crunch but I’ve found that beaded sew ins last about two weeks before they need to be tightened and washed. It’s perfect for me because I don’t normally wear extensions.
You separate your hair along your head with the bands or beads and sew tracks onto them. If you YouTube beaded sew ins there’s Alotta tutorials. It’s pretty easy too.
Ive been doing hair for 22 years and actually from my experience with this technique its much better its called microlinks or cold fusion… And it is not as hard on ur hair and sew-ins or glue… I like to call this the white girl weave cuz they are the ones really wearing micro-links and fusion which is why their weaves look more natural…
And i will bet my life savings it was keratin fusion done with the hot gun and they tried to take them out on their own… Microlinks do not damage the hair..
microlinks are just a little ring u pull the hair threw and clamp down… Keratin fusion is a applied with keratin beads, u-tips or i-tips and its melted on to the hair and it has to be removed with a solution.
But if you look closely she didn’t use either of those techniques. She is still sewing on the individual section she didn’t do micro links or keratin fusion. Zoom in and you will see its stitched in
That’s interesting wonder how its actually done and the methods used to take it out. Could be very damaging to the hair and scalp… Having a sew in doesn’t damage your hair in my opinion its more healthy than glue bc all youd have to do to remove it would be to cut the thread used to sew it in and that doesn’t damage the hair. The style looks nice tho..
I’ve always had my sew in done this way. An it doesn’t damage the hair if your stylist knows what their doing. My hair has actually grown three times as much doing it this way. An I only get six rows with long straight hair and it doesn’t look bulky it looks natural.
Okay I see those are not rubber bands. So.e call them I tips… youtube. I tip extensions…. now those do last and are no different than a sew in really the only difference is the techniques…. for min I thought they were rubber bands…
I just did but was wondering how she gone brush it or comb it if its only on those rubber bands n wat if a rubber band pop the its gone b hangen… but i guess it make work for sum..
Not new it’s called a bead and sew. It’s more damaging on braids than ethnic hair though because our hair is curly at the roots and may tangle around the bead upon removal.
This is a great method for people that likes to wear clip ins or something similar, but for a natural sister, this will bout be the best choice. Oldy but goody. DeDe Freeman
I’ve actually Done this before several times Kia Shaw your hair is still out so you stil have to flat iron unless u do curly hair and also it’s constant blending if your hair doesn’t match hair it’s a very old technique but it’s pros and cons to everything I think it depends on the person, their hair, and the stylist
No i wouldn’t do this because of the heat damage from the hair being left out and the rubber bands can cause breakage. Everything that looks good aint good for ya
I would think it would be on a head of healthy hair , I’m not sure tho, because I’ve never done the procedure before . Looks like infusion to me .. And infusion should only be worn for a short while especially if you’re sewing hair on it . The weight of the tracks are heavy and if the hair is not healthy it may suffocate the cuticle layer and cause the hair to become even more demaged.
My hair is natural and honestly I wouldn’t want this style. For starters, it’s not a protective style anymore. This defeated the whole purpose of a sew in. My hair shrinks a lot and I have a hard time straightening it. No matter how many times I get it professionally straightened it shrinks right back so I doubt I’d like this at all. People bump and flat iron bobs very often. This style you’d only burn your hair and who wants to go thru using heat protectant serum EVERY time you flat iron it. That’s too much and besides, this doesn’t look any less time consuming. Overall, her hair is cute tho but yeah.
Oh OK yeah… Some where saying its good for those who don’t braid that hood! I like it because it keeps the hair lookin full! But it might be to much exposed.
It could be an alternative but Your hair would have to be shorter than the bob and the rubber bands could break your hair off versus braiding it to protect your hair from damage, especially heat damage.
No shade thrown, this is creative, neat and original
But my question is,
how long u expect this to last or hold up..
Thm rubber bands go get loose or pop…
Thn wht
Yes, but one lady said that she used to install her weave like that and it wasn’t. The only way to truly know is to try. But I will do more research. I like the fact the the hair is still down, and I can train my hair while my weave is in.
This is a nice method for someone who just focus on adding length or volume to their head. But for a protective style,no because of the manipulation you will putting on your hair.
As a Hair Stylist I love this technique…I learned Hw to use Links/Beads in 2006…and it was called a European Weave…so this procedure is not new. It lays smoother to the head and is actually suppose to be healthier for our hair…Just like any product or service you have to get educated on it so that you know wats going to be best for your client…The client also needs to be educated by the stylist on proper care and maintenance so that no damage occurs…because anything that you do to the hair can be damaging if your not taking care of it. Every hair style and technique ain’t for everybody and your stylist should do a consultation with you before doing any type of hair weaving procedures…This technique is not about being lazy it’s about working smarter.
I think this is a great style for those who want a “fuller” look. My hair is thin, weave braids irritate my scalp, so this would most likely work for me. And I could easily grease my scalp and treat it.
These are silicone micro links. When properly installed/removed you hair/scalp will be fine. These links do not damaged /cut off your hair.
However they do have aluminum links the WILL CUT your hair. I
This technique as with any other installation is about natural placement. Follow the natural curvature of the head.
Here hair is separated with rubber bands and the weave is sewn onto to she rubber banded sections it only looks right it your natural hair is shorter than the weave
But this is for people who can’t braid because that’s the only reason why I would use it because it doesn’t protect the hair and it’s almost the same amount of braiding time
A regular sew in is much more damage then this process I think it’s a good way for people that doesn’t want their hair braided people don’t realize how much damage they cause to their hair braids alone cause damage and on top of that sewing hair on them causes damage also
Osawai John says
What are used to hold the sections rubber bands?
Vedejah Scroggins says

Roushan Elizabeth Latham says
I want one
Jordann Alease says
What’s the point ? To get breakage???
Briana Thomas says
I honestly think this is so stupid. If the weave in your hair is straight, and your hair is not naturally straight that’s Hella damage to your hair.
QJ Monaé says
Not if you use heat protection when straightening your hair and not straightening it often as well and making sure you use products that build and protect your hair.
Sharee Moye says
She’s saying it’s damaging to weave straight hair. It doesn’t matter what protection you put on it. And she’s correct.
Diamond Blue says
Yes
Cynthia Myles says
This is a very simple method to use to sew in a weave…I know cause I’ve tried it!
KahDeedra Michelle'Ruby Thompkins says

Yes exactly..
looks like what they clamped the weave to on this Bob also…
Tianna Simone says
Metal clamps
Tylisha Mapp says
I had this before and it caused so much damage taking it out.
Tamika Dunlap says
Look like a new way to loose some hair
Misty Blu says
Exactly. Looks great on, but the removal is going to be a beast. We’ve done this for years and honestly, you lose so much hair on the removal.
Sheila Thornton says
I’ve done this technique for years too, the takedown can cause hair loss.
Misty Blu says
Para, I can only speak from experience. I work in an upscale salon, and honestly, predominantly white women get this attachment. Only a small percentage of blacks get it done. No matter who it is, they lose an abnormal amount of hair because the release of the lock doesn’t release fully on the first try. Sherida Dixon says
I’ve had this done and all my hair came out with it.
Katrina Patrick says
How do they do that?
LaTasha Parker says
I never even seen this style before. But, I can definitely see that the hair is going to knot up at the root and within the rubber band.
Misty Blu says
Those aren’t rubber bands, they’re clamps, metal clamps. Can you imagine!!
Tamika Dunlap says
Hey✋ ✊To all the fellow stylists!!!! Just wondering what are the hot trends you are doing in the salon right now??
Monique Tw Weathers says
I’ve worn this style and my hair went from being in my back to right at my neck. You would think my stylist would have said something, once she noticed the breakage after several installations. Let’s just say I have a new stylist and my hair has grown back with in a year.
Sherida Dixon says
I had it in for about 3 weeks

Alizandra Hilton says
Wow I’ve been doing this for years ….who knew it was a thing.
Ruth Linor says
Tell me more I really love too weave but hate the pain I have too go through afterwards because of the braiding
Harmony Alana says
It’s more damage because you have to straighten you hair everyday and some will be curly and some straight and it’s annoying
Tambria Banks says
The hair is clamped on to your hair with little metal/plastic pieces.
Hilary Jon Roberts says
Thats really cute 🙂
Karen Miller says
Like it looks real nice color
Taneshia Johnson says
I like this because its not covering her whole eye… I can’t stand the bobs that cover your eyes
Taneshia Johnson says
But it probably causes more damage by the way its done. I’d rather just get a sew in
Arielle Wright says
Just like a sew in when you remove it your hair is a little tangled due to the braid down. Its a little tangled at the root. I agree with you it cause the same if not more damage in my experience and hurts like he’ll to cb out unless you douce your head with oil

Those medal clamps do not cause a lot if damage if you remove them the correct way. Alot of Caucasian women use clamps and it’s easier on the hair than braiding.
Nia Mayers says
A lot of caucasian women use clamps because their hair does not hold up in the braids very well so there’s no point to a sew-in
Michelle Armstead says
I’ve seen some with braids but you’re right it does not hold up well.
Ciarra Doing MyownthangPryor says

I like the link method because my hair lays flatter BUT the links tend to slip out (although my stylist was able to find some that wouldn’t slip out as much) and if you don’t take it out properly, it can pull your hair out. Overall, I prefer this method over traditional sew ins.
Ashley Olive says
That scares the s**t out of me…. I saw this on a short hair video seems painful tho
Sha'Quita Williams says
This looks neat
Beady Bead says
Professional all day. 🙂
Beautyful Camille says
Might as well get INFUSIONS cause those are infact rubber bands…
Beautyful Camille says
And U can use KERATIN GLUE BEADS tht are water soluble and conditions the hair strands and it last sooo long.and the take down is simply a hot patient wash and the hair U put in falls right off NO CUTTING NECESSARY…. #justathought
Dedra Chandler- Robertson says
Not rubber bands those are micro link clamps
Aunglia Bonham says
Might have to try it
MsPetty Brooks says
Well dsmn. Lol not even the Africans
Ja'Raya Gant says
Lol that must be hard as hell
Esohe Osayi- Osazuwa says
It’s so pointless tho its for ppl who don’t know how to braid
Tifane Gore says

Halisa Demeanor Amacker says
Yesss
Evelyn Nicole says
I might try that
Sim Simma says
Just get some clip on loll
Towana Edwards says
When those rubber bands burst the hair style finish?
Amina Brooks says
That’s lazy lol
LaDetra Davis says

Jazmin Brown-Clark says
Niceeee????
Adia Crayton says
That will not last
Kesa Dixon says
That’s neat. And very pretty
Leslie Ayala says
Christine Staine says
cute
Crystal Tate says
Interesting. Next it will be a headless sew in.
Toya Thehairdoctor says
Yeah those are micro links
Leslie Ayala says
Look how bulky it looks… And that’s on a short Bob…imagine on straight long hair?
Jocelyn Newsome says
I don’t get the purpose…
Shelly Everette says
Too much tension tho
Jazmin Brown-Clark says
???
Chantelle Caprietta says
I like that … &&I can prolly learn this quick since it’s no braiding
Catherine Cat Pressley says
Not safe
Toni Stovall says
Ummmmm Nikia MissPrettiful u kno I’m not most stylist so I try not to promote anything that breaks the hair. The rubberband thing is scary to me due to how tight I KNO they would have to be in order for the tracks to be secure. Boy I tell u Utube gone b the death of sum of y’all
Toni Stovall says
I mean and half the people that come up wit this foolery are MEN who don’t care nothin about u having hair at the end of the stream. Do your research and stop being people’s test dummies ??????! #illPass??
Lace' B. Slates says
Linda Grice says
I need that bad
Chelsey Spencer says
I prefer the braids. My hair always grows better in braids
Alexis Finch says
Yes girl it takes forever and I would think that those rubber bands would break the hair off
Merelene Roberts says
That’s what I was thinking plus it prolly get nappy off n there
Jamela James says
NOT for your hair nor mine!
Cortney Daniels says
That’s tight ..
Alexis Finch says
Yea and the Reason they do it like that Is so u can pull it up and do ect without having to worry about bulkiness from braids
Liyah Tee says
Girl I was looking at this. I don’t know what they used though a rubber band?
Christy Watson says
I don’t like it. Honest. I feel like this tear all your hair out if the client doesn’t take care of it . I wouldn’t get it or do it.
Cortney Daniels says
Idk when I got that short haircut.. She put in a track without using a braid and she charge me the same price
Barbara Williams says
Very nice. Seek and ye shall find. Lol
Christy Watson says
This not protective and I feel like the tracks would fall out
Kaisha Nana Johnson says
Lol, it’s easy most people charge $125 and up
Akeiya RealFancy Haynes says
Heard about it but seems like it would be too loose
Amber Benton says
Damn the “rubber bands” or “clips” or whatever they’re call…in my mind the point of weave especially in winter months when your hair dries more easily is for PROTECTION. This is NOT a protective style. Nor does it look less time consuming. Everytime u want to flat iron that weave your also putting heat on your own hair. So its gonna cont to break off. A braid sew-in IS a protective style b.c if done properly, your hair is up and safely out of the way so that the only thing thats getting heat and constant manipulation is the weave
Skyes Haircare says
This is a form of extentions not sew in!!! Completely different!
Ja Dana Atkinson says
Are those rubber bands in her hair or fusion clamps…… I’ve known ppl to get them and they damage the hair so much.
See Jewlz says
That’s for a day or 2, just think what your hair is doing rubbing on a rubber band and hard track
Ke'Ke Msxphatz Antwanette says
– i dont have the stuff to do it . it looks like rubber bands on the pic but its not . those are metal clips . i cant think of the name … i think thats a malaysian sew in or something like that
Kimberly Deckard McClintock says
I see
Shelaine Shackelford says

Renethia Kirby says

Sandy Pickering says
Its so cool how this is done!!!
Chantelle Caprietta says
Me either Ima have to YouTube it to see exactly how they do it
Ebony Moore Gash says
This method I love to use especially for anyone looking for short term wear. But I use thread to secure instead of rubber bands
Meredith-Lynn Rorie Frederick says
Ok let’s try anything
Erica Moore says
I would try it DNT think it will last long
MsBreuel Sherie Smith says
That’s bomb I didn’t see the whole thing
Tamacia Wallace says

Yolanda Hill says

Pleshette Finch says

Laterria Smith says
Somebody said its not rubber bands its clamps
Shenikka Lewis says
Yeah thts not good for the hair. Now if u have very thick and course hair then maybe.
Shanise Lane says
I use to use this method on my clients back in the days. I prefer sewing on a braid because it last longer!
B Jazzy Celestin says
Yes I love this technique
Vickey Williams says
I saw this yesterday when I was looking at something else
Whitney L Barahona says
It’s like fusions but with thread instead of heat?
Corjenay Stuart says
Now that I look. It look good
Whitney L Barahona says
I remember this I like braids tho when I don’t want to do anything with my hair
Farrah Ratliff says
Who gonna take out each one if those ponytails…no…no…waste if time n energy.ijbh
Raven Marie says
I learned to do this on myself. Not with rubber bands but keratin dipped beads. I needed to go to a company party that weekend and I wanted a nice style. It really works in the crunch but I’ve found that beaded sew ins last about two weeks before they need to be tightened and washed. It’s perfect for me because I don’t normally wear extensions.
Raven Marie says
You separate your hair along your head with the bands or beads and sew tracks onto them. If you YouTube beaded sew ins there’s Alotta tutorials. It’s pretty easy too.
Kesha Keysha Keisha says
Waaay more work than a sew in, and probably more damaging
Skyes Haircare says
No its not! I have used the la method for years just gotta know what your doing
Jamie Carter-Bailey says
Why not just use clip ins
Tonya Alex says
They look fragile to break/rip out your hair but it may look natural and nice smoothly
Roxanne S Jones says
Interesting
Christian Louise Binder says
Looks like it would hurt ?
Slim Rosales says
Your hair sheds when it’s braided when you take your braids out look at you shirt
La Shelle Jones says
I love it either way. …
Tee Tee Mason says
sew on the rubber bands
Gwen Jones says
Beautiful
Turquoise Hughes says
Um is that ok for the hair ?
Ditren Ingrid says
Eww no like them rubberbands are going to brake off all your hair.& looks like it wont even last long waist of time.
Tee Tee Mason says
I would say it comes down to preference, it could be OK if just want a 2 week look no glue…but not to wear for 6-8 weeks.
Francia Lainbllert says
How
Mindy Hawkins says
I love the look I want it who can do it for ME
Brittney Thames says
Yes I seen this it I don’t think I would try it
Vicky Jimmerson says
This would take much longer and it would be just for a change of process lol. Not style just process.
Zahaira Overmeer says
These are micro rings. Atleast how we call them here. Easy and totally not damaging for your hair.
Dezarae Shuler says
I like it
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
Ive been doing hair for 22 years and actually from my experience with this technique its much better its called microlinks or cold fusion… And it is not as hard on ur hair and sew-ins or glue… I like to call this the white girl weave cuz they are the ones really wearing micro-links and fusion which is why their weaves look more natural…
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
Which is why u use the texture closest to ur hair… My hair is curly also..
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
Or a simple keratin treatment…
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
Have u ever tried the individual micro-links or fusion… U might like that better.
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
Exactly the way a sew-in with a leave out looks
Wendy Lee says
This is a great technique when properly installed. Utilize smaller sections. And it easy to tighten up. I love this
Ja Dana Atkinson says
Yeah, I’ve known people to get those and look like they had alopecia or just barely escaped a fire after they’re out.
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
And i will bet my life savings it was keratin fusion done with the hot gun and they tried to take them out on their own… Microlinks do not damage the hair..
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
microlinks are just a little ring u pull the hair threw and clamp down… Keratin fusion is a applied with keratin beads, u-tips or i-tips and its melted on to the hair and it has to be removed with a solution.
Deanna Deanna Jones says
But if you look closely she didn’t use either of those techniques. She is still sewing on the individual section she didn’t do micro links or keratin fusion. Zoom in and you will see its stitched in
Halisa Demeanor Amacker says
Yes easy but cute
Iesha My'journey Littleton says
Plus u dont have to remove the links when ur hair grows out all u have to do is open the link slide it closer to the scalp and close it back….
Drina Torres says
My friend does the technique, I personally think the braids is a better protective style .. But it’s whatever works for the individual.
QJ Monaé says
That’s interesting wonder how its actually done and the methods used to take it out. Could be very damaging to the hair and scalp… Having a sew in doesn’t damage your hair in my opinion its more healthy than glue bc all youd have to do to remove it would be to cut the thread used to sew it in and that doesn’t damage the hair. The style looks nice tho..
Es Joseph-Hall says
I’ve done that before on my Africa neighbor hair..
Tia Marie says
actually works well when braids don’t on straighter hair
Jakkarria Lee says
It looks pointless
Carletta Couture says
Very cute
Tia Wilder says
I like braided sew ins cuz the braids allows hair to be protected. Not to mention, that’s how I grew my hair out.
Regina Hall says
That’s different
Audrianna Kenyatta says
Too murch.
Cierra Jackson says
I’ve always had my sew in done this way. An it doesn’t damage the hair if your stylist knows what their doing. My hair has actually grown three times as much doing it this way. An I only get six rows with long straight hair and it doesn’t look bulky it looks natural.
Ciarra Doing MyownthangPryor says
Okay I see those are not rubber bands. So.e call them I tips… youtube. I tip extensions…. now those do last and are no different than a sew in really the only difference is the techniques…. for min I thought they were rubber bands…
Antoinette Monts says
I wear them all the time….no problems
Antoinette Monts says
And it’s quicker than a regular sew in
La'Myia Nash says
Its snapped in..saw a video on you tube..s**t take long af
Charrell Charise says
mmm looks interesting
Stephanette Bond says
I just did but was wondering how she gone brush it or comb it if its only on those rubber bands n wat if a rubber band pop the its gone b hangen… but i guess it make work for sum..
Symone Odessa Williams says
But what is the track sewn into?
Candice Valentine says
It looks easier
Ambra Phillips says
After I thought about it my hair wldnt be protected from heat this way
Ambra Phillips says
Braids it is
Jenn Martels says
Beautiful???
Ladiredboss Que says
Ok
Tasha Brinkley says
Wouldn’t recommend it. It leaves too much room for heat damage…. And seems to be more time consuming than braiding the hair and sewing the tracks in
Lita Islandgirl Hawkins says
Can you please name the shop who did this hairstyle? Thanks
Mazaher Kaila says
Yeah seen it .. Looks good
Michele Garrett says
Saw this a few years ago. Never quite understood it…outside of your hair not being braided
Totti Ray says
That’s amazing how do they stitch onto the clamp??
Miracle Prettywomenwonderwhy Allen says
Looks interesting. ..I love the concept. ..I’m wit it.
Kevina N Smith says
Looks bulky
Tiffany Marie Banks says
Not new it’s called a bead and sew. It’s more damaging on braids than ethnic hair though because our hair is curly at the roots and may tangle around the bead upon removal.
Donna Lipscomb says
Very Nice
Alfreda Waitingonhim Horn Knight says
I’ve seen this before but you’re rt sissy idt natural hair would be a good candidate for this. It doesn’t hurt to try bestie see what it do.
Kimiyah Roze says
It’s cool, diff even but read people’s comments. Some have done it and are saying it’s more damaging to the hair and takes twice as long to get done
Kesha M. Wilkins says
WOW!!!
Katina Whitehead says
Interesting technique
Monique Potter says
What is this hairstyle called
Brianna Pointer says
Um this is strange .. Lol but a must try
Shamara Johnson says
I had 2 rows put in it took for ever to that them clips we had to go on utube to try to get them out not doing that anymore
Erika Neal says
I need this or to learn how to do it
Jonica Claudete says
Definitely
Amber Imwhatthatis says
This is a great method for people that likes to wear clip ins or something similar, but for a natural sister, this will bout be the best choice. Oldy but goody. DeDe Freeman
Bernice Cunningham says
This is something I did years ago
Quatrice Williams says
I cudnt figure out what her hair was clamped with i know its not a rubber band. What yall think?
Jamyra Williams says
I read that they are metal clamps. I never seen this done before. I wonder if its better.
Marquesha Lataye Caldwell says
I’m not doing those rubberband though. Your hair will be breaking off for sure
Simone Caldwell says

Sal'vances Valente says

Alicia Crawford says
But i like
Mrs'Nikki Harrison says
I’ve actually Done this before several times Kia Shaw your hair is still out so you stil have to flat iron unless u do curly hair and also it’s constant blending if your hair doesn’t match hair it’s a very old technique but it’s pros and cons to everything I think it depends on the person, their hair, and the stylist
DeAfricka McDaniel says
I need that
AlwaysPromoting HealthyHair says
No i wouldn’t do this because of the heat damage from the hair being left out and the rubber bands can cause breakage. Everything that looks good aint good for ya
Gunilla Ross says
I used to do this years ago when I had a Bob & wanted to add color w/o chemicals. It’s really easy to do.
Camillia Nyesa says
Ohhhhh that’s cool!
Geremieze Mclaurin says
No way sista… I don’t suggest this for natural clients ?
Tanyette McCoy says
Cool. It looks easy.
Nireta Oliver says
Like that hair style
Babs Simon says
It’s not rubber band it’s a plastic they used to put extension in
Mika Jones says
Yessss. Alot of non African American women do it like this. I love it
Lekeitha Mims says
I’ve seen it before. I just haven’t seen it done often.
Sharlely Becker says
I’ve had it done , if treated well there will not be a lot of damage but it does break your hair so therefor my hair got thin ..i went back to weave x
Latisha Perez says
Dude I seen a tutorial on this and it is awesome but it takes more upkeep.
Verda Renee says
I don’t get how this is better than a braided sew in.
Crème de la Crème says
I dnt think I would like doing or getting this. Looks like a waste of time.
Dia Johnson says
I am ready….been practicing on my mannequins
Takenya Hodgepodgebynessa Millhouse says
Oh wow
Tracie Tracie says
It’s cute
Tracie Tracie says
I would think it would be on a head of healthy hair , I’m not sure tho, because I’ve never done the procedure before . Looks like infusion to me .. And infusion should only be worn for a short while especially if you’re sewing hair on it . The weight of the tracks are heavy and if the hair is not healthy it may suffocate the cuticle layer and cause the hair to become even more demaged.
Meili Tate says
Shaniqua Jackson says
Why is it so poofy in the back ? this isn’t a protective style at . those rubber bands are gonna break your hair off
Coco Renee says
Oh OK yeah… Some where saying its good for those who don’t braid that hood! I like it because it keeps the hair lookin full! But it might be to much exposed.
Tanya Satcher says
Wow I love that
Nadine Charles says
Where can I get this in London?!
Russia Leigh Johnson says
Not sure how I feel about it. Won’t protect hair, seems like it would take forever, and seems like it would b bulky but interesting tho
OnlyyOne Chelle says
Can’t explain it but this hairstyle last a while hard to take out
Whitley Foreversmiling Bruner says
Oh he’ll no
Tyneshia S Davis says
That’s neat n different
Kaneisha Adams says
I never saw anything like this , I like it tho
Susan Savage says
How about being natural and wear your own hair! Ladies you are beautiful, no need to put more mess in your hair that you really don’t need!
Tiffany Hale says

Kimberly Dixon says
I want to try this
Niya Misfit Giddens says

Lmbo! Idk. I like it though instead of doing clip ins
Whitney Carradine says
It’s called microlink or cold fusion
Megan Elisabeth Carradine says
I’ve heard of this before…I heard it pulls the hair
Tanya Beasley says
Them rubber bands
Arica Netterville says
I’m a clamp girl for life
Mush Payne says
Waste of time, look like a hot mess, yes that’s damage
Antoinette Hawthorne says
It could be an alternative but Your hair would have to be shorter than the bob and the rubber bands could break your hair off versus braiding it to protect your hair from damage, especially heat damage.
Alisa Byrdsong-Clark says
Do u have additional info?!would love to try!
Safarí HoneyBone Dédé says
Ain’t this how the Dominican hairstylists do it? The “Spanish” version of a sew in….
Rõyce Armøní says
Yess
Dayana Thorpe says
I heard this was kinda damaging to your hair.

Dezarae La'Shay McElroy says
& Then the rubberbands would break ya hair or..or if they break
Ameisha McElroy says
Yeah I’ll pass on that technique. Nothing protective about it.
Gina Marie Colantonio Sweeney says
Omg I’m in loveeeee
Brittnay Walton says
I seen that ! I wonder how it holds up
Tyga Jones says
No shade thrown, this is creative, neat and original
But my question is,
how long u expect this to last or hold up..
Thm rubber bands go get loose or pop…
Thn wht
Neisha White says
Looks like it might be connected by the rubber band
Cassandra BrownSuga Grace says
Looks easy but alot of work
Harlee SoSpoiled Trophy says

Gabrielle Love says
That’s Not How A Braidless Sew-In Is Done, Fortunately!
Ayanna Lashley says
How should it be done? This is interesting, I’ve never seen it before
Shellea Mclaughlin says
I feel like it is. It’s like doing individuals and then sew it in lol idk
Ta'Mura Hiter says
that s**t gotta be loose! somewhere
Tonya Reddick says
Wanna try it?
Tammary Scott Dowdell says
The rubber bands will break your hair off! Plus who want to feel those bumpy bands in your head. No!!!!
Shante Jiggetts says
Looks like 2 me some easy s**t to pull out
T'wanya Tenyce English says
Her hair don’t even look natural thoo…
Mae Mae Mozart Einstein says
rubberbands on hair…
Melinda Gray says
Seems like some good points are raised in the comments though about this being more damaging, possibly. Hadn’t thought about that aspect…
Court ThaQueen Leo says
The caption says braidless sew in I think that’s the confusing part sew in is mentioned in the caption #noshade
Melanie C Gaston says
Yes, but one lady said that she used to install her weave like that and it wasn’t. The only way to truly know is to try. But I will do more research. I like the fact the the hair is still down, and I can train my hair while my weave is in.
Nicole MsLady Sampson says
Dope..
Blue Haiti says
Please that does not look secure
Sophia Belle Lewis says
Mm
Asia Avian says
It’s ugly her hair looks big in the back it don’t look natural
Altheria Washington says
what happen if them rubberbands pop
Ranisha Grimes says
This is a nice method for someone who just focus on adding length or volume to their head. But for a protective style,no because of the manipulation you will putting on your hair.
Michelle Staten says
LaDonna Andrews says
I think it is beneficial in that it will not grow out as easily. 😀 Does anyone in the Monterey area do this?
Dan Adams says
So pretty
Shalãla Moore says
It’s cute but why not a regular sew in its last longer
Wendy Lee says
Cute, but I’d use smaller sections. The way that is set up will cause nature’s hair cut.
Lesley Nomaqawe Watungwa says
trying to see how its done can’t get but its lovely the end result
Anonymous says
It’s cute but I think you would have to choose a weave that’s super close to your hair texture.
Anonymous says
I think this is a great style for those who want a “fuller” look. My hair is thin, weave braids irritate my scalp, so this would most likely work for me. And I could easily grease my scalp and treat it.
Anonymous says
These are silicone micro links. When properly installed/removed you hair/scalp will be fine. These links do not damaged /cut off your hair.
However they do have aluminum links the WILL CUT your hair. I
This technique as with any other installation is about natural placement. Follow the natural curvature of the head.
Jazmine S Battle says
Yes I don’t like it at all put how will you take it out
Anonymous says
How u sew that to a rubber band
Jaiee Deann says
I saw this.. don’t know how long that will last though.
Tynita Stewart Steele says
Been doing this . This is not new to me…good looking out though?
Anonymous says
Why is is so puffy in the back?? That’s not cute.
Tynita Stewart Steele says
It’s good but not if u flat ironing your hair not good for you?
Anonymous says
She look mad
Ayanna Lashley says
I’ve never seen this method before.. Interesting
Bria Wright says
Wonder how you would do that with natural hair
Jonte Nachelle Strickland says
I know how to do that to very easy my mom just taught me
Kanisha James says
Niceeeee
Breanna Deunshea McGowen says
These aren’t fusion links btw…you can see the thread on the top right pic..ijs….
Murissa Jolisa Mays says
Here hair is separated with rubber bands and the weave is sewn onto to she rubber banded sections it only looks right it your natural hair is shorter than the weave
Murissa Jolisa Mays says
But this is for people who can’t braid because that’s the only reason why I would use it because it doesn’t protect the hair and it’s almost the same amount of braiding time
Sharita Riles says
Absolutely
Deidre Kelleher says
That’s so cute!! Nice maintenance tooo
Amber Isaidit Taylor says
but you can’t do this with longer hair and I get weaves (when I do) so NONE of my hair is out
Toy Nicole Pleasant says
There’s no real protection . Just full ness
JayNicole Diamond says
IM TRYING TO SEE IT NO DAM SERVICE UGHH
JayNicole Diamond says

Ninya Holbrook says
This is great
Dominique Moore says
Yesss I love that !
Felicia Talley says
Better than a regular sew in??
Makida Moore says
Try it I think it looks nice I wonder how long it will last though
Dominique Moore says
She wouldn’t recommend it.. The rubber bands is going to cause damage to the hair
Brianna Thompson says
I would rather have it braided than this only because rubberbands damage your hair also. But this is great for someone that is tender headed
Kimberly Grant says
Yes sissy I have I don’t know how healthy it is for your hair. I would say it would be a real temporary thing. Nothing longer than 2 weeks or less.
LaTosha King says
Oh so it’s pointless then ?
Kimberly Grant says
It’s not protecting anything it’s like clip ins I think except you can’t take them out at night
LaTosha King says
I’ll pass ?
Nichelle Wilson says
I wouldnt recommend it because the rubber band can cause break damage
Laneeka Terrell says
