Porsia Nelson says
Thats what I said. The obsession with edges is crucial.
Samantha Stewart says
Every time I’ve gotten braids, they look tight, but most of the time actually aren’t.
NaTasha Thompson says
I’ve been getting braids and twists for years. I think it’s all in how your hair is braided and how you care for your edges. I just keep mine rubbed with JBCO. Edges still in tact.
Tara Smith says
Right if you keep them moisturized and not pull when their new your fine…People too lazy to take care of their hair that’s why you have no edges…It’s a daily Job
Kim Shirell says
Well if you keep them in forever, yup your edges will slowly disappear. But hey that’s with any style that put tension on your hair.
Tara Smith says
Exactly keeping them in forever is not taking care of your hair?Laziness like I said..Always look at the person hair giving you hair advice..If their hair is damaged theirs nothing they can te you….
Tameka Dorsey says
Didn’t take long for the edge police to get on duty they be waiting lolll if you get a protective style and don’t have enough sense to maintain the hair underneath then you deserve to have hide and seek edges

Healthy choice?
Not even.
In 2016, I really want to encourage licensed beauticians to be ethical in their business dealings with customers.
Before installing corn rows, individuals, weaves, ponytails that pull and scar the patron’s delicate scalp (live tissue), ask yourself it the requested style going to traumatize this person’s scalp?
That’s from experience.
I stopped tight, heavy braids in 2014…edges are full and healthy, and hair grew 5″.
Check out Naptural85!!
Her techniques revived my scalp & hair.
Jannaye Pogue says
In 2016 lets practice not saying anything if our comment is going to be negative. Leave the backhanded compliments in 2015 “it’s cute but..” “I like it but..” ” she should’ve…” Plenty of things are the cause of missing edges, or balding in general for that matter. Don’t worry about her edges worry about yours.
Iesha Roberson says
I need who ever did hers to do mine love them
Keisha Henley says

Nikki WhereIs Waldo says

Binogun Winnie says
Sometimes it’s not like people edges got damaged by braids. People tell me that all the time and I’m like “thank you”. there is a difference between a normal hairline and a receding one. Got mine genetically from my mother and ithas been like that since I was a kid and for many years I refused to wear braids just weaves to cover them up . Sounds funny but I’m in my 20s and only braided twice. If a woman is comfortable with her natural hairline , unlike me , I think it’s a good thing.

I’m wearing the same style now. I moisturize my edges, co-wash, etc. and take down doesn’t hurt my edges. If you take care of your hairstyle, it will take care of you (edges).
Glendene Bovell says
Oh the edges!
D'Mar Clarke says
